CTRL-X, YOU’RE GONE
As part of the Stenograffia street art festival in Russia, artists are “erasing” blight by painting it in the invisible layer pattern from Photoshop. The project, called “Ctrl-X,” delivers an all-over-print pattern, with gray and white squares covering every inch of the target. All gray and white everything.
The artists behind the prank/public art piece are Andrey Kolokolov, Taisia Spirina, Alex-t, Max Parfenov, Dmitry Chabanov, Constantine Rakhmanov, and Anna Klec. For their first attempt, they got permission from the owner of a garage and the car that was “parked” in front of it, then covered everything, including the headlights, tires and undercoating. The artists plan to paint others spots around the area.
